SD Royal Crown Derby of Spruce Ridge

2014 Mare

SD Jackpot X SD Lissy

"Cocoa" is a special filly. She is an appaloosa, but is every bit a gypsy horse. She is a beautiful chocolate colour with a blanket of spots on her croup. She is expected to reach at least 14.1 hands at maturity and has all the feather and mane that we could ask for as well as the bone

SD Golden Glitter is another exciting filly recently imported from the UK. She is another example of the Down family breeding program. She is sired by Black Jack and her dam is a mare called Patsy, who was sired by Woolly Mammoth. You can see Woolly Mammoths stamp on all his descendants.

SOLD

We couldn't resist the half sister to our Diamond Dolly. We knew she was sure to be a winner out of My Way!!

b2ap3_thumbnail_IMG_4018.JPG SD Cartier of Spruce Ridge

Cartier is a beautiful, big mare
out of SD Izzy and SD Woolly Mammoth.

We are very excited about this mare as she is a very traditional type in build and size. It is hard to find this combination today and with parents like hers, how could we miss. She is currently being started in harness and under saddle this fall. Cartier is in foal for 2017 to Touchdown

dscn0468_2 Born: 2001 - 2013 RIP beautiful girl

Romany Queen arrived in January of 2009 from Southern England. She stands at 15 hds and weights 1350 lbs and is the heaviest feathered mare we have ever seen.

Born: 2005       FOR SALE (contact for details)

We spotted this colt when in northern England near Durham. We were not looking for a colt, but he impressed us so much, we decided to bring him home.

Firestorm has been our flagship stallion since we started breeding Gypsy's. His progeny speak for him. A good home is most important to us, he owes us nothing and we owe him everything!

Available for live cover or A.I. to approved mares

lottery-horse-1

1993 - 2010

We will miss you.

Anyone who has researched or owns a Gypsy horse will know who The Lottery Horse is.

He was viewed by many, as one of the finest the breed has ever seen. The Lottery's Sire was a horse known in England as Sam, a son of Eddie Alcocks' Old Black Horse, who was a son of  The Coal Horse. His Dam was a mare named Matilda. She was also described as Joe Wiltshires' Red and White Mare.
